We have an idea to inject a bit of camaraderie into our working week – whether you work from home, in an office or a bit of both. So go put the kettle on, make yourself a cuppa and take 5 minutes out of your busy day to join us for a little chat.
This week, we’re talking about…creativity.
WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU MADE WITH YOUR HANDS?
Creativity is one of those things that we tend to think of as something you either have, or you don’t; a skill or outlook that only certain people possess. I know for a long time I thought of myself as not creative at all but recently I’ve started to realise that creativity is more of a continuum. Sure, some people do just ooze creativity but very few of us lack any what so ever! But sometimes – especially if you don’t possess a specific creative skill – it’s all too easy to neglect our creativity because we just assume that we can’t “do it”. So today we thought we’d test out our belief that everyone has some creativity in their bones by asking the question…what was the last thing you made with your hands?
Since meeting Michelle, I’m very pleased to say that her crafting passion is starting to wear off on me a bit and I’ve started to try a few things out and discovered that I’ve really enjoyed it! Inspired by last week’s Ultimate Halloween Guide therefore, the last thing I made with my hands was a pumpkin display for my home! I went for a heart shaped carving and painted gold three mini munchkin pumpkins, one with an abstract stripy design. All of which are now proudly displayed in my living room!
